Regional
Intervention Program
RIP
is a nationally recognized, parent-implemented, activity-based program
for families of young children. It is offered free of charge to
participants. RIP is fully funded by the Tennessee Department of
Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities.
Who we Serve
RIP serves families with children ages 2 through
kindergarten who are exhibiting behavior problems. Children are
eligible even if they are enrolled kindergarten.
How does RIP Work?
RIP’s most important component is parent
implementation. Parents learn to work with their own children, support
one another, and implement the program. Parents learn by repeated
direct practice followed by supportive feedback.
